Human Computer Interface (HCI)

During the design stage a number of decisions have to be made about the human computer interface to ensure it is appropriate for users with different skill levels. It also has to be suitable for use in different environments.


The examples in the video are a little futuristic but different systems can have different interface requirements.

Task:

Take a copy of the HCI Design presentations and Heathcote chapter 31 for future study. 

Work on Heathcote chapter 31. Read through each section carefully.
Answer the four questions that appear on pages 183,184 and 188, then have a go at the exercises on page 189.

Save your completed work in your Systems Life Cycle folder.

Homework:  Research and describe three HCIs with a variety of different features.
