"Describe the facilities provided by electronic mail systems.
Identify situations where email is the most suitable method of communication and situations where it is not suitable.
Justify using email as a method of communication."


Task 1 - Demonstrate use of the advanced features of email software

Carry out the following tasks using Outlook Express, make some screenshots and place in a Word document:
  • - setting up folders
  • - set up a distribution list
  • - setting up rules
  • - multiple attachments and zipped folders
  • - change junk mail options and add to a safe senders list
Explain why each one of these features is useful to a business and any situations where another method of communication would be prefereable. Help sheet below.
