System Life Cycle - Analysis stage

DFDs are used as a method of documenting the flow of data through the current system.
A variety of symbols can be used however the WJEC specification uses the following


Task 1 - A college library system identifies each book in its stock by a unique BookID. The BookID is encoded in a barcode attached to the book. When a borrower returns a book it is scanned and any fine due is calculated by extracting from teh library database the date that the book was due back.
Draw a Data Flow Diagram that models the library loans system.

Task 2 - Answer the exam question using a Word document.
